A Note Not To Be Noted

Hello everyone, as much as I would 'like' to blog nonsensical ramblings, mundane happenings of my life, and substandard photos, I believe that it's time to say goodbye, temporarily, to this blog. The Advanced Subsidiary examinations are not a month away. It's a mere 9 days to my first paper, Business Studies Paper 1. I've started to 'freak out', really.

Honestly, I've been slacking and procrastinating as usual (though not quite to the perception of some), so I've decided to avoid further slacking by abstaining from surfing the net as well as simply being 'online' in Windows Live Messenger. You see (or might not see), I seriously cannot afford to fail my papers, or score average grades, as this not only involves my (rather bleak) future, but my self esteem.

Anyway...

I shall be back in the blogosphere in mid-November (or perhaps, earlier). Maybe, by then, I would have lost interest in blogging. Maybe, by then, I would have a new blog. Also, maybe, by then, I would have a private blog where I can bitch about idiotic assholes who not only need tight slaps, but a good sounding from no other but me.

Thank you for dropping by this blog, and reading all the afore typed words.

Cheers, Hui Wen

Selina's Birthday Party

Selina Tham, an ex-classmate of ours', celebrated her 18th birthday a day earlier with her friends and collegemates on the 15th of August 2007. It was a small-scale surprise birthday party organised by culprits Lidya, Kimberly and Ann in KFC KL Sentral. Despite some glitches and whatnots, the party went on pretty well, and it was definitely nice to cover the event on Lidya's request.

Therefore, I hereby present you some 30 photographs of the event, though I did not have really much time to post-process them in detail and there are plenty of faults made, such as white balance inconsistencies as well as poor framing of subjects.

Just Another Update

Friday the 14th started with Law revision on Paper 2, specifically on the topic of Judicial Precedent. Paper 2 questions seemed relatively easy as most could be answered without knowing the areas of law real well. Students could just refer to the sources given, and answer accordingly (analytical skills are dead vital though).

Personally, not to under-estimate the subject of English Legal System or anything, I find ELS to be much more easier in contrast to Business Studies. That, of course, is a mere opinion of mine.

Sick and tired of the hawker food nearby college, I suggested lunch in the Chinese restaurant 1-2 km away from college, where one of the best pork egg noodles are sold. The restaurant was packed full to the brim with people, all trapped in the heat and all that jazz of a sweltering hot afternoon, haha.

The three lefties- Chris, Cheong, and Lahvee!

DSCN8660
Michelle, Ming Wai and Chris.

DSCN8661
Paul, Fuh Yuen, Vinnaesh, and Michelle. Haha, gotcha, Paul! =)

DSCN8664
Ade said they look like a couple, so I snapped a picture of both of them, haha.

DSCN8665
Argh, I wanted to snap a picture of Chris feeding Ming Wai some chips, but I missed, and got this instead! And Ming Wai, I think you should really get some sleep... You're already beating me in the panda eyes category, haha!

(No pictures of Ade, Bawanie and me though...)

Yeah, we walked back to college right after that, and Paul was so carried away with explaining his absence from college that he missed the junction he was supposed take to get to his car, haha. He drove away from the Economics test, to put it in another way. I, on the other hand, with the company of 15 or so classmates hid in the library for the entire duration of the test.

It wasn't the slightest bit funny when Mr. Aria caught me in the act of leaving college in the late evening. He was not only 'grossly disappointed' with 'those who're absent', but also furious that he is 'paying someone just to mark those papers'... Apart from that, 'something' not very shocking occured...

On Saturday morning, for the second time in two months (haha), I played badminton in SJI. I haven't really exercised that strenuously since the last time I did in August, and oh boy, joints and muscles ached rather badly on Sunday... But pain is gain, in this context!

As for the afternoon, I was at Ade's (thanks to Ming Wai for transport) for lunch and a short discussion on Economics. It would be rather stupid to say that certain non-Economics discussion did not take place, haha. Ade fetched me home after our little trip to Leisure Mall, where I returned the D50 to Jen Ric, and saw something!

I don't know what happened on Sunday... I think I had the day totally wasted by lazing around, haha.

Monday was oh-so-beautiful! Economics revision class on Paper 1 in the morning, and then Business Studies revision class on Paper 2 in the afternoon! I loooove stress, I really do! Ms. Chanteney is an expert at rubbing reality into our faces, and Mr. Aria is an expert in making not-really-committed people like Paul to agree into attending his Economics mock tests on Fridays, haha... Again, thanks MingWai for transport. (I'm learning how to drive after the exams, so I'll take over the wheel, muahahaha!)

A somewhat painful headache that put me back to sleep from 10 to 12 on Tuesday turned out to be one of the few indicators of fever. I struggled not to lose it during Business revision class, but I failed. A torturing bus ride and dinner of porridge later, I slept for hours and hours.

Thank goodness for the combo of drugs+coconut water+100 Plus+sleep, I recovered pretty quick for extra Business revision class on Wednesday. Yeah, extra Business revision classes... on Saturdays and Sundays as well, can you believe it?! Ugh, exams are clearly just around the bend, and I'm still in denial! *sighs*

Thursday was a deliberate attempt to study Business Studies, first in McD Central Market, then Burger King and finally aunt's office. I don't quite like to stay in college these days as almost everyone is studying or commenting that "You're soooo hardworking" when I'm soooo NOT. Beh tahan, I tell you! And the best part about being in downtown KL is that I can shoot some stuff that I like (old buildings)... =)

As for today, I'm a very good student. Only in the morning however. I have to say that because instead of doing Economics test, I tumpang-ed Paul's car, got home around 2.4o p.m., and napped from 3 till 6! Plus I haven't done anything other than going online, chatting, singing songs and reading a few blogs!

Ah, I'm tired.... It's time to sleep. I can always not sleep later to compensate, haha.

The Failure, Hui Wen

P.S. Some pictures of Selina's birthday comin' up!
